Following the successful launch of their latest New Product Development Grant of £5,400 funded by the European Regional Development Fund which will help companies pay for specialist consultancy advice, in July the BIC appointed a new member of staff.
Rachel Wood is now the BIC’s Research & Development Adviser and her role is to help companies source and finance support from Research Organisations to help them develop new products and services.
Born and bred in Stoke-on-Trent, Rachel who graduated from Staffordshire University is no stranger to the BIC having worked there on another project over ten years ago. She has had over 15 years experience working with businesses in Staffordshire, has managed a number of European projects and has been very successful in helping local businesses apply for all kinds of funding including grants and loans.
Rachel has quickly settled in to life at the BIC – just like old times.
Any companies looking to work with Research Organisations to help them research or develop new products or services are invited to contact Rachel at the BIC on 01782 333798.
The BIC is a not for profit organisation which has been successfully operating in Staffordshire for over 20 years. It offers advice and guidance to individuals and small and medium sized businesses who have innovative new product ideas.
